Whenever aggressors choose to open a "dialogue of weapons," they often discover that the rockets flying overhead make it impossible to control the debate, or to contain the violence. They find that they need a moderator, someone to oversee the conversation, keeping the escalating dialogue within acceptable parameters. The widespread availability of rockets has cancelled-out the usual equations for power projection. Israel’s leaders still believe that by means of brute force and reducing them to abject poverty, they can break the will of the Palestinians to continue their struggle for their rights. In my view the conviction that Zionism will one day succeed in breaking the Palestinian will to continue the struggle for an acceptable minimum of justice is the product of minds which are deluded to the point of clinical madness.more
