Consequently, I think my use of a question mark in the header is more wishful thinking, than reflecting the true reality of the situation.
And I use of the term, fucked, in the header, because that's just what it is, and not only that, you would be amazed at the number of searches that include that very keyword.
Although this is not the front page of Alexander Higgins Blog, a blog you really should bookmark if you wish to be kept informed and up to date with the latest from Japan, it nevertheless makes for some very informative, if not very scary reading.
I have perhaps, been quite tardy myself recently, in reporting the current situation, and even the link I am about to offer, is to a page that is two weeks old itself. But that doesn't make it any the less important by any means, the situation in Japan, just like the isotopes in question, is timeless.
I have been keeping an eye open for updates from Fairewinds Associates, another bookmark must, but as Arnie Gunderson explains in this short clip, he himself has been very busy with appearances of late, but does promise some updates in the near future.
Might I ask you, having read the initial story on the page:
Nuclear expert Arnie Gundersen tells Al Jazeera that the Fukushima nuclear disaster is potentially worse than 20 Chernobyl disasters as a series of scientific experts join him in chorus saying the that disaster in Japan is far worse than governments around the world are revealing to the public.
Having read that story, scroll down to the George Washington story and take in the enormity of the amount of fuel that is stored, was in use, or has melted down at the site. I am aware we are talking about a quite dense material here, but the tonnage quoted is frightening.
The Amount of Radioactive Fuel at Fukushima DWARFS Chernobyl
Plenty of other links also to be found leading from the page in question.
