Jerry Falwell. Not a lot to say about him. He was disgusting. Read the post on missionaries....so very sad. Have brought some of this up to christians and I get the same answer every time: that happened in the past, we are not like that now. We are good caring people and when we do missionary work and the people dont want us there we just leave. We respect their wishes. None of that other stuff ever happens. MMMMMMMMMMM, really? I am finding it harder and harder to accept ignorance from christians. They are always ready to tell you what they believe, but when you ask them why they believe that way you get some of the most ignorant answers imaginable. They are like well trained parrots, spouting off memorized phrases in the hopes of getting a heavenly saltine. When I tell someone I believe this or dont believe that they can be assured I have looked at it closely before making any determination. For christians this is not necessary. Their response is almost always "just 'cause". HH

To embrace religion is to disconnect from reality, once a person, group or even a country disconnects then all hope is gone. Those with an agenda will take the disconnects by the hand and they will be lead willingly down the garden path, a path that leads to nowhere.

Before I started reading blogs, and then blogging I wouldn't have given religion a thought from one year to the next, and that's the way it is with most people over here.

The religious would hardly dare to mention their faith, one word about a god and there would always be someone handy to tell them to shut the fuck up.

I see the specialist again tomorrow, nothing has changed with me, I'm stuck on a sandbank and the tides gone out, it's bloody tiresome.

Agree with the religion stuff. Hope everything goes well with your doctor's visit, hang in there. HH
