Mankind Is a Bollocks Nuclear Edition

This is a funny kind of post on Bluegrass culture. Starting out to collect apples, I've ended up with pears.

First up, the wonders of nuclear fission, brought to you by General Electric. Now where have I heard that name lately?

Animated classic presenting what an atom is, how energy is released from certain kinds of atoms, the peacetime uses of atomic energy and the byproducts of nuclear fission.

As bullshit goes, nobody bullshits like the Pentagon. This little wonder, testament to its wisdom and understanding, brought to you courtesy of the USAF. The climate of fear! shurely shome mishtake?

The video shows military troops participating in Camp Desert Rock Exercises and witnessing the power and fury of an atomic blast. The underlying message given is that if citizens remain calm and "face it," they can survive the bomb."

What to do after a visit from Ivan, pesky old fallout. Animated nuclear preparation film.

More nuke testing stuff here, along with lots of other archival footage, which I am about to explore further myself.
