Theresa May?

At your own peril and the peril of your party, Home Secretary. You cannot champion the McCanns and run for Prime Minister. The country, in spite of your party's best efforts, hasn't yet degenerated quite that far.

But pray, don't let anything writ here influence your political aspirations, but it might be well to consider the inevitable, tiocfaidh ár lá, Home Secretary, tiocfaidh ár lá.

My thoughts exactly himself when I saw old bores bowing out. I know you don't believe that SY are about to any day soon announce the arrest of the 2 chief suspects but maybe her willingness to put her head above the barrel may just encourage somebody with some sway to remind her of her association with Kate

Kate

And then what, she starts to disassociate herself from Kate McCann?

Well that's fine, but the damage is done. What May as Home Secretary, or May as Prime Minister is not going to do, is hold her hand up and confess to being had over by a couple of scallies. Hardly Prime Minister material is it?

Not that Theresa May has been had over for a moment, not at all at all.

Theresa May, Hogan-Howe, to name but two, have conspired to pervert the course of justice and failed dismally to uphold the integrity of the offices they hold, that much is self evident.

But how on earth Theresa May can put herself forward as viable candidate with the knowledge that it only takes one person to break ranks and the whole shabby edifice will come tumbling down.

Because it is not me, you, or anybody else that is a threat to May/Howe, they don't give a damn about us. How can they, when the pair of them have had oversight of Operation Grange for the last five years?

Five years!

Five years, and the perpetrators, as the world knows, only live up the road.

I repeat, it only takes one, and that's as much as we can hope for. That's all we've got.

‘Himself’: “How can they, when the pair of them have had oversight of Operation Grange for the last five years?”

Tania Cadogan, 52: “WYSIWYG Short and round with an escapologist inner child” (my emboldening).

A hypothesis: Theresa May, 59, Bernard Hogan-Howe, 58, each with three inner monkeys one of which speaks.

You know what I mean?

No I'm afraid I don't. That said, no amount of searching produced a source/link for:

“WYSIWYG Short and round with an escapologist inner child”

So I'm struggling for context. Perhaps you could supply a a link or elaborate a tad?

Thanks

The gist:

She also blasted Mrs May’s insistence discrimination against women is only a result of a “misuse” of Sharia teaching, rather than the teaching itself. . . .

. . . . “But the aspects which are causing such concerns - such as that a man can divorce his wife by saying ‘I divorce you’ three times, that is inherent, the right to ‘chastise’ women is inherent, polygamy is inherent.

“I don’t think those things are a distortion or Sharia law.

“These are aspects of Sharia law which are unacceptable.”

Theresa May for PM?

Not in my name.

The quote is a ‘cut and paste’ from https://plus.google.com/110552596621169469399 (click on ‘ABOUT’ in the right bottom corner of the photograph of a woman in glasses at the top of the page). The ‘ABOUT’ item itself is not ‘linked’, that’s why you couldn’t find my quotation.

I did not write that, Tania Cadogan did. No ‘Work’ under ‘Work & Education’, no mention of Statement Analysis. To use her catchphrase: I can’t say it for her.

“three inner monkeys” is an oblique reference to ‘the three wise monkeys’ (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_wise_monkeys). I intended the reference to imply jokingly that the pair you mentioned often speak in contradiction to what they see and hear.

The man and two women are of about the same age, hence it is not unreasonable to suppose that they are similarly capable of appreciating the relationship, expected by those they address, between what they say and what they see and hear. They are not expected to tell untruths.

The following might be of interst:

There is more info on Tania Cadogan in the public domain, some on Twitter, and you probably know more than I do about the other two.

Catherine Meyer and what 'you' may think.

You may think that because she is not a mother herself, she would not understand what it is like to lose a child.

?

I was particularly touched when she made a point of having a long chat with my two sons and stepsons at my birthday party.

!

Titled: Men have got us into this mess - now Theresa May is the woman to get us out of it

What can I say?

Understood, thank you.

I adore the way Tania's mind works. OK it's her job, nevertheless she does it awfully well.

No problem. That's what I thought. I'm not too bothered by that.

Would you perchance know whether the limit is on the number of links or something else?

I recently came across what seemed to be a rather telling exchange between Tania Cadogan and someone else.

Not at all.

Tania, I reiterate, she's good at her job. that said -

What does stand out is all the you knows

You know indicates awareness of the interviewer and also a need to convince and convey, to have what he says taken for granted and not to be questioned.

He uses this particular phrase 17 times in his statement here.

I would normally put the 'you knows' down to being ill-bred, as is often the case. But then Tania goes on to say he is far more articulate in person than suggested by his interview, so I might defer to her on that one as well.

Interesting that she has met Payne. I wonder under what circumstances?

Politics!

23 August 2007

http://www.politics.co.uk/news/2007/08/23/mps-back-europe-wide-sex-offenders-register

Mr McCann said: "We are pleased to see that elected members of both the UK and European parliaments agree that changes to legislation and greater consistency across the European Union are needed.

"We want to work with law enforcement agencies and non-governmental organisations to try to make Europe safer for all children.

"Kate and I would like to encourage further debate on how Europe can best manage serious crimes such as child abduction."

"Kate and I", the European Union, Europe and serious crimes.

They're all in it together.
