Today Twitter's CEO said they may in the future "edit out any...clearly offensive [trending topics]." He also said "we edit out any [trending topics] with obscenities."
AlterNet has the rest of it/them, because Twitter aren't alone in this.

Perhaps there’s a misconception about Teddy’s religion in the public square without the word "against" in that part of the sentence. Could it be they do not understand that "Against" (cruelty, injustice, intolerance) also applies to religion in the public square?
