Nifong: Toast. Will We See Justice ?

Update:

State Bar prosecutor Douglas Brocker told the committee that "Mr. Nifong did not act as a minister of justice, but as a minister of injustice," AP reported.

After the hearing, attorneys for the exonerated lacrosse players said they would push for criminal charges against Nifong.

"I don't think that any of us are done with Mr. Nifong yet," said Jim Cooney, Seligmann's attorney. CNN with short clip.

He is disbarred, although the statements are somewhat ambiguous.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — A disciplinary committee said Nifong will be disbarred for his disastrous prosecution of three Duke University lacrosse players falsely accused of rape — a punishment the veteran prosecutor admitted was appropriate......

The committee must now decide whether the longtime prosecutor should be stripped of his law license. That decision was expected later Saturday. USAtoday

But if there is any bit of justice in this world this fucker needs to be brought to account, he would have gladly sent these lads up the river for thirty years knowing full well he was stitching them and for no other reason than to get re-elected in his wanky job.

I hope he gets sued for every last penny he has and then brought to trial for Christ knows what and has to rely on a public defender* who doesn't give a shit followed by the same trip up the river that he would have had these lads make.
*It is not my intention to slag public defenders off, I am aware there are thousands of good guys out there that are dedicated to real justice.

Mr. Cheshire said defense lawyers planned to file a motion requesting that Mr. Nifong be found in criminal contempt of court for misstatements to the judge and lawyers in pretrial hearings. The charge, if upheld, could result in fines or jail time. The families are also considering civil suits. NYT

I have a feeling the Rude One might come up with a classic phrase or two when he puts his pen to paper regarding this douche.
