The Moon Is Made Of Green Cheese: Padilla

That would be Swiss of course not Wensleydale, there are no holes in Wensleydale unlike Swiss cheese or the case against Padilla.
There has been little to report in this shabby case , but like the proverbial cheese a hole or two is starting to appear, I'm sure there shall be a few more before this shameful show trial draws to a conclusion.

And the use of the green cheese moon in the title is not solely to make the analogy about holes, I thought it would make rather a splendid, if not an obvious and old fashioned codeword.
In fact it was the FBI that planted the cheese theme in me. For if we are to believe the Feebies "eating cheese." along with "picnic," or "smelling fresh air" are code words for planning dastardly deeds, but here lies a problem, not for Padilla but for the prosecution.

Caruso (defence) asked Kavanaugh (FBI) if Padilla ever was heard using what prosecutors say were code words for violent jihad, such as "picnic," "smelling fresh air" or "eating cheese."

Given the batting record of the Government, the CIA and the Feds when it comes to telling the truth I wouldn't believe them if they told me Monday followed Sunday, let alone that a hodge podge of words were code to bring America to it's knees by employing such a unlikely if not an impossible device as a dirty bomb. I'm rather hoping the jury sees it this way as well.

But wait awhile, he's not actually on trial for that is he? the Government didn't fancy charging him with that one, bit of a shame about the three and a half years in the slammer though.

Maybe that's the time it takes to manufacture a case against someone, be it you, me, or the man in the moon.
