Georgia Industry Booming


Georgia had the third-largest growth rate in inmate population in the country last year, according to a federal report issued Wednesday.

Forty-two states and the federal system reported increases, with the largest jumps in Alaska (9.4 percent), Vermont (8.3 percent) and Georgia (8.1 percent).
