  1. I don't get it -- why is this wankery? Unlikely to succeed, but wankery?

  2. A fair question Andy, put it down to my cynicism or the difference in cultures but every time I see this little fuck on on the TV it's yap yap self serving yap.
Everything about the man epitomises the worst traits of politicians, from his cheap shot "impeach Cheney" for political gain to his running for the Dem nomination.
He, like everyone else, knows he hasn't a snowball in hells chance of being nominated. Reality is not in his portfolio and yet given the mess the country is in due to the current prez occupying an alternate world, he still goes through all the nonsense of seeking nomination, wasting every bodies time in the process for no other reason that he wants to be in the limelight.
As we would describe him over here; a right gobshite, or more probably a "Barclays" as in Barclays Banker.

Not that Cheney shouldn't be impeached, but it will take someone with far more credibility than fucktard to get the ball rolling.

  4. I'll put it another way, he has as much chance of being nominated as I have getting a seat on the next space shuttle.
Just like being made to try out for the school choir, the teach would walk round and cock his ear to each of us in turn, then came the gentle tap on the shoulder, it had but one meaning, "Sit down lad."

  5. Yeah, it's like the guy at a meeting who insists on chiming in on every subject whether his remarks will make any difference or not. You can't *not* invite the guy to the meeting. And once he's raised his hand, he's as entitled to his say as anybody. But everyone knows he's wasting time just for attention.

It's annoying too because if someone decides down the line to pursue impeachment of Cheney, it'll look like they're following Kucinich's lead.

It doesn't piss me off quite so much because (a) Kucinich is so irrelevant here I wasn't even aware of this story, and (b) I can see from his point of view he almost *has* to do something like this; otherwise he can be asked, if he was so against this administration, why didn't he *do* something besides talk?

  6. But there again:
"It is better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool then to open you mouth and remove all doubt."
    Winston Churchill.
But to attribute the original I think we would have to look to Mark Twain.
