Presidential Veto. Analysis

US leader George W Bush is preparing to exercise his presidential veto for only the second time in seven years of office.

According to political analyst Larry Sabato, Mr Bush's reluctance to exercise his veto during six years of Republican-controlled Congress, before the Democrats gained sway last year, may have hurt him and his party

"Other presidents have used the veto hundreds of times," says Mr Sabato, director of the University of Virginia's Center for Politics.

"This is one of the least impressive aspects of the Bush presidency - it suggests weakness and it has been a major mistake by Bush. More

My analysis: Two vetoes, one to protect a bit of snot in a petri dish, the other because Congress is calling time on his killing. Such a fucking Christian.

  1. Have just checked in after a long weekend. Several grim posts. The whole mess in the middle east about women is distressing. Not only have they regulated women to no more than a family pet (even requiring a male member of the family to take them for a walk, no dog sitters here) but this is one of the fasted growing religions! That is very scary to me. The stuff about Bush and his cronies is par for the course. I am waiting anxiously for the elections in '08. I want to see what Bush will do when his little stint in office draws to a close. That is unless he decides to take some action to prevent this. The guy who decided to build a 1/5 scale model of the ark is delusional. It absolutly kills me when an average joe looks at this and says "Wow, that there boat is sure big! I think all them there animals would fit in that! I bet ol' noah even had room for a ping pong table in back there." The level of delusion and ignorance achieved by the human mind continues to astonish me. As for the article that stated americans are stupid for not realizing what is going on, I have to say i agree with the fact that there are a lot of stupid americans. However, it goes beyond that, americans don't want to know what is going on!Knowing and understanding what is happening in the world seems to be more than the fragile american psyche is willing to deal with. They are content to exist in their safe bubble of middle class insulation. It doesn't affect them, so they don't need to worry about it, besides someone will see things don't go too far. HH

  2. Not much fun around the world H, my heart bleeds for the women under Islam, I have to say the right wingers know what the coffee smells like when it comes to this bunch.
Being liberal is fine until being liberal makes you delusional, they (the Islamists)are a nasty bunch of mothers still stuck in the dark ages, and yes, I can bunch them all together.
Did you manage a read of Arthur?
