Since this isn't really a comment on "Wednesday Boops," but is a personal message, maybe you could delete it from the "Comments" box after reading it. However, as I can't find any e-mail to write to, this seems the quickest way to answer a question I just found you asked me almost two and a half months ago, regarding a reference I made to you in a post of mine over four months ago ("A word from the opposition," 1 Feb 07). In your 22 March comment on that post, you said that I said I linked to you from my blog, although you'd never heard of me. If this is what I seemed to say, it's not quite what I meant. I guess we have to parse the grammar of linking. What I actually said was that my guru linked me to you, and you in turn linked me to "Driving lessons, child abuse." Maybe I'm using the term "link" in an ambiguous sense, but my sense is that any time I open a page, it's a link and doesn't necessarily imply any direct contact with the author of the page, by which he might be said to hear of me. But now I guess you have heard of me, for better or for worse. And I still love your page (although I hadn't looked at it in a while). You're really into Betty Boop, aren't you?
